This lesson educates students to recognize the differences between men and women. Without this knowledge, they will be less likely to achieve lasting and loving relationships. An important area that needs to be addressed is understanding the differences between lasting relationships with family members and moving from one relationship to another. Unresolved issues may be brought to future relationships. Understanding the differences between men and women lays the foundation for compatible relationships. Without this basic information, the youth may not understand why women’s behavior differs from men’s. Juvenile Offenders often have inadequate or have not acquired skills to adapt to different perspectives and behaviors in the areas above.
