Equipping individuals with the critical skills necessary to navigate life outside of jail or prison is a key component of our in-prison treatment. Our curriculum includes job and skills training, cognitive behavioral treatment that targets criminal thinking, and classes that promote pro-social habits. Delivering the right reentry service at the right time saves money and enhances outcomes. The Metamorphosis continuing of care is enhanced by in-custody offender rehabilitation programming, integrated with post-release support services.

GETTING A HEAD START: WE PROVIDE INITIAL HOUSING, FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Immediately upon release Metamorphosis mentors transport the juvenile to their furnished apartment with financial and mentoring support. A plan for success and employment developed prior to release is implemented. Within a short period, job interviews lead to gainful employment. Transportation is provided until the youth is able to purchase a vehicle from their earnings. Regular ongoing interaction and encourage is provided almost daily.

A LIFE WELL LIVED . . .

Mentoring can reduce recidivism by preparing offenders for their transition back home, increasing the likelihood they will become productive community members leaving criminal activity behind. Financial, daily social norms, interpersonal skills and work ethics are promoted. Introductions to positive persons and environments are facilitated. Mentors are retired military and retired business professionals, equipped to implement good social values and structure. A positive role model. Positive reinforcement is delivered for pro-social behavior, and consequences are clear and firmly applied for non-compliance.

PERSONAL PLAN IMPLEMENTATION

A daily plan commences with counselor interaction and support. The appropriate daily activities, disciplines and some free time begin. Particularly with job search tasks and preparations for interviews. Interactions with positive environmental peer groups enhance appropriate choices for behaviors and tasks. Transportation is provided as required.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Financial assistance eliminates financial pressures for a few months as employment eventually provides needed monthly income. Peer group and counsellors continue to assist with budgeting and managing money.

ONGOING MENTORING AND ENCOURAGEMENT

Each juvenile is never abandoned and receives frequent weekly interactions with counselors to provide continued hope, encouragement and facilitate continuance of personal plan goals and behaviors leading to successful re-entry, permanent employment and an opportunity for family.

CIVIC TOOLS & SOCIAL BEHAVIORS

Metamorphosis facilitates acquiring a drivers license; pre-employment education such as acquiring a CDL license via a certified education or educational program? Counseling and role playing for job interviews and other interpersonal interactions. Former juvenillies from dysfunctional families learn societal norms for behavior, communciation and two-way dialogue.

Who is eligible for the Re-Entry Program?

Youth and young adults impacted by incarceration who are preparing for release or have been released within the last 12 months.

How do I sponsor a youth participant directly?

Reach out through our contact form, and we'll guide you through our sponsorship options.

How do I apply for reentry support?

Use the Apply for Reentry Support button. A coordinator will follow up within 1–2 business days to confirm eligibility and next steps.

Are classes in person or virtual?

Core classes are live (virtual & in-person). Career labs and some counseling sessions occur in person as needed.

What if transportation is a barrier?

We provide rides initially and help secure reliable transportation (including budgeting toward a vehicle).

Can my company partner or hire participants?

Yes! See Partner With Us to become an employer partner, host career labs, or sponsor placements.

Can a parent, PO, school, or agency refer someone?

Yes. Choose Refer Someone and provide a contact. We’ll coordinate intake directly.

Is there a cost to participate?

No program fee. Housing deposits, transportation, and essentials may be covered case-by-case through our donor-funded assistance.

Do you provide housing on release day?

Yes. We place youth in a furnished apartment and implement the pre-release plan immediately (transportation included).

How long does mentoring last?

Weekly check-ins (often daily the first weeks) continue through stabilization—typically 6–12 months, with alumni support available after.

What kind of jobs do participants get?

Entry-to-growth roles with partner employers (warehousing, manufacturing, trades, food service, logistics, and office support). We help with résumés, interviews, and soft skills.

Do you help with IDs, documents, and court obligations?

Yes—state ID, Social Security card, résumé, school re-enrollment/GED, probation requirements, and community services.
